Read Aloud

We love reading at Redwood School.  

It is always fun when we do Read Aloud. 

Mystery teachers appear in different classrooms and enjoy reading stories with the children.  

This week we had read aloud and enjoyed sharing fairytale adaptations with the students.

The Bookworm Club

Grandparent Reading Programme aka ‘The Bookworm Club’

We are seeking grandparents or senior citizens to give their time to come to school and listen to our Year 3 - 6 students read to them. This will involve about an hour and a half a week, probably in the afternoon but we can be flexible with times and days. You will listen to three/four children read for about half an hour each.

Pukeko Trip to Te Papa

On Tuesday Rooms 13, 14 and 11 went to Te Papa to the Bug Lab because we are learning about cause and effect. On the bus it was very loud.  Morning Tea was really cool because it had an great view of the sea and city.  We went to the Earthquake House, it was so much fun because it shook side to side.  

We went to the bug lab.  I went with Scott, I thought that the mosquito was interesting.  I was happy because I found it interesting.
